Ex-Take That hunk Robbie Williams is inexplicably popular here in Germany so it only makes sense that his biggest hit is an Oktoberfest classic.
The slow, soppy Angels is one of those songs that bands at the festival tend to play at the end of the night, when everybody's had more than their fill of suds and emotions are on high.

Though there's been some debate about who actually wrote the song, Robbie has always claimed the song is his alone and the lyrics are about his aunt and uncle.
Robbie says the chorus "Down the waterfall, blah, blah, blah," hit him after watching a fountain outside a café.
